UK Prime Minister Rules Out Return Of Parthenon Marble Sculptures To Greece

The United Kingdom has no intention to return Greece the Parthenon marble sculptures controversially removed from the Athens temple in the early 19th century by British diplomat Lord Elgin, as they belong to the British Museum by law, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said on Monday.

Egypt MPs call on parliament to ‎recognise Armenian genocide‎

Independent Egyptian MP Mostafa Bakri said that ‎he and 336 MPs have called on parliament ‎to approve a draft resolution in favour of ‎recognising the death of 1.5 ‎million Armenians at the hands of the Ottoman state in 1915 as a ‎‎"genocide." ‎

The Turkish foreign Ministry called «a disgrace» the recognition of Armenian genocide by Germany

Adopted by the German Parliament decision on the recognition of the genocide of the Armenian population in the Ottoman Empire is «ignorance and disrespect for the law». This is stated in a statement released by the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkey.

In Open Letter Schiff Tells Obama: ‘Call the Armenian Genocide What It Was – Genocide’

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), the lead sponsor of the Armenian Genocide Truth and Justice Resolution in Congress, spoke on the House Floor on Wednesday and delivered an open letter to the President of the United States, Barack Obama, urging him to recognize the Armenian Genocide in his final year in office in advance of the 101st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The commemoration of the genocide will take place on Sunday, April 24.
