Egypt opened its largely sealed border with Gaza Saturday for the first time since a reconciliation agreement saw the Palestinian Authority take control of the crossing from Hamas.
Egypt reopened the Rafah border crossing with the Gaza Strip for three days starting on Saturday to allow hundreds of stranded Palestinians to return home, officials said.
Rafah crossing is a key entry and exit point for the Gazans. However, it was open for just 19 days all together since the start of the year, said the Crossings and Borders Corporation of the Palestinian Interior Ministry in the coastal enclave on Monday.
