Report Says 1 in 4 Children at Risk of Poverty in Europe
Almost 20 million children in European Union countries are living in poverty, according to the aid organization Save the Children. In 2021, the number of children at risk of poverty increased by 200,000 to 19.6 million, a new report by the organization found.

China warns India over Dalai Lama, India dismisses the warning
China on Friday objected to the Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama Dalai Lama’s Decemer 10 meeting with President Pranab Mukherjee at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan during a children’s summit saying India must respect China’s “core interests” to avoid “any disturbance” to the bilateral ties.
