Σε θάνατο καταδικάστηκε Παλαιστίνιος ποιητής από δικαστήριο της Σαουδικής Αραβίας, επειδή εγκατέλειψε τη μουσουλμανική θρησκεία, σύμφωνα με τα δικαστικά έγγραφα που περιήλθαν στην κατοχή του Παρατηρητηρίου Ανθρωπίνων Δικαιωμάτων (HRW), όπως δήλωσε ο ερευνητής του για τη Μέση Ανατολή, Άνταμ Κουγκλ.
