EU approves air passenger data sharing, ending years of a standoff

The European Parliament (EP) voted on Thursday, while meeting for its plenary session here, that airlines should provide national authorities with data on their passengers for all flights originating from third countries, despite persistent doubts about the effectiveness of such a measure.

US authorizes up to 110 daily flights to Cuba

The United States and Cuba will sign an agreement Tuesday authorizing up to 110 daily US commercial flights to Havana and nine other destinations in the communist island, restoring regular air travel for the first time in more than 50 years.

Mourning and memorial events in St.Petersburg to last several days

The mourning and memorial events to pay homage to those who have died in the plane crash in Egypt will go on for several days, the press service of St.Petersburg Vice-Governor Igor Albin said on Sunday.
